The team view helps whoever leads a sales team see how the week is going: how much each person has done, what the team has posted, and which deals have nothing booked next.

Your role needs at least View on the Activities row. Select Team in the sidebar. My team is the people who report to you, at any level while Grant Access Using Hierarchies is on for Activity, and the people in the teams you lead, including their sub-teams. Reporting lines and team leaders are set under System settings → Sharing & teams; see Sharing and teams. If nobody qualifies, the page says “Nobody reports to you or is in a team you lead”.

The page has three tabs, and the header notes that only what you can see is counted.

  • This week. Four cards: Activities (notes, communications and meetings held, with last week’s figure), Tasks done, Overdue now and Opportunities without a next step. Below, one line per person, listed by name and not ranked, with their Notes, Communications, Meetings held, Tasks done, Overdue now and Opportunities without a next step, and a Total line. Previous week, This week and Next week move between weeks, which start on Monday; Choose a week jumps to any week. Select a person’s number under Communications, Meetings held, Tasks done or Overdue now to see it split by sub-type.
  • Team feed. The activities your team has posted, newest first, as you are allowed to see them. Show narrows it to notes, tasks, events or communications, and Sub-types narrows it further.
  • No next step. Open opportunities with no open task — a waiting task counts — and no future event, so nothing is left to drift. The Owner filter offers Mine, My team and Everything I can see. The tab needs List on Opportunity.
  1. Select Team in the sidebar.
  2. Read This week to see who is busy and who is quiet. Select a number to see it by sub-type.
  3. Open No next step. Select Add next step on an opportunity to post a task linked to it and assigned to its owner, or open the opportunity and mention its owner with @ to ask for one.
  4. Read Team feed for anything that needs your reply.
  • The feed and the numbers follow the usual rules: you see only activities you are allowed to see. Members-only spaces you have not joined stay closed and add nothing to any number.
  • You are not in your own team: your own activities do not appear here.
  • A meeting counts as held once its time has passed.
  • An opportunity leaves No next step as soon as a next step is booked on it.

Listed by name, not ranked. The numbers are for a conversation, not a league table. A quiet week can mean one large tender, and a ranking would reward the easiest activity rather than the right one.

Only what you can see is counted. A colleague’s private note or a members-only space you have not joined adds nothing to any number, so the team view never reveals content through a count.

A next step keeps a deal alive. An open opportunity with nothing booked is the one that drifts. The list shows exactly those, so one task from you is enough to put each back on track.

  • Add the next step yourself. Add next step creates the task already linked to the opportunity and assigned to its owner; see Opportunities.
  • Compare with last week. The Activities and Tasks done cards show last week’s figure beside this week’s.
  • Open the detail behind a number. Select a person’s Meetings held or Communications to see it split by sub-type, such as site visits against showroom meetings.
  • Check your own deals too. Set Owner to Mine on No next step.
  • Run it as a weekly review. The weekly sales routine uses this page for stalled deals; Close the deal helps with the next step.

On Friday afternoon Mei Tan opens the team view. Marcus Tan logged nine communications this week and Siti Nadia held three site visits. Under No next step she finds “Harbour Café — outdoor seating”. She mentions Marcus on it: “@Marcus Tan can you book a follow-up?” On Monday he posts a task, and the opportunity drops off the list.

Reading the Activities card. Mei leads a team of two. This week Marcus has 2 notes, 9 communications and 3 meetings held, which is 14 activities; Siti has 5 notes, 4 communications and 3 meetings held, which is 12. The Activities card shows 26, with “Notes 7 · Communications 13 · Meetings 6” under it, because 2 + 5 = 7, 9 + 4 = 13 and 3 + 3 = 6.

Booking the next step for a colleague. On Monday Daniel Lim opens No next step with Owner set to My team and finds Siti’s “Harbour Café — kitchen refit”. He selects Add next step and posts “Send the revised tile options” due on Wednesday. The task is assigned to Siti and appears in her My work, and the opportunity leaves the list.

  • Why does the team view say nobody reports to me? Nobody reports to you and you lead no team. An administrator sets reporting lines and team leaders under System settings → Sharing & teams.
  • Why don’t my own activities count in the team view? The team view shows the people you lead; your own work is in My work.
  • Can I see a colleague’s private notes in the team view? No. Only activities you are allowed to see appear or are counted.
  • Why is No next step missing? Your role needs List on Opportunity for that tab.
  • Is the team view a ranking? No. People are listed by name; the numbers are not sorted or scored.
  • When does an opportunity leave the No next step list? As soon as it has an open task or a future event that you can see.
